Current Strings in Stock

Luxilon 4G
1.25 & 1.30 mm: $22
One of the best polys known for control, tension maintenance, and comfort.
High spin potential.

Luxilon ALU Power Rough 1.25 mm: $22
High quality, textured poly. Used on tour (often in a hybrid). Considered one of the best cross strings out there. Just ask Fed!

Tecnifibre Razor Soft
1.25 mm: $22
High-end round poly used by Medvedev. Nice feel, with ample spin and control. It actually sounds great when hitting the ball.

Babolat RPM Blast
1.25 & 1.30 mm: $21
The #1 best-selling poly on the market. Nadal’s string of choice for its spin potential and durability.

Yonex Poly Tour Pro
1.20 & 1.25 mm: $20
Very popular round poly for touch and control. Plenty of spin potential, too. Works well in a poly hybrid for snapback and comfort.

Solinco Tour Bite 1.20 & 1.25 mm
$15
Hugely popular poly with sharp edges for unreal amounts of spin and crisp feel. One of my best sellers and in my top 5!

Solinco Tour Bite Rough 1.20 mm
$15
Tour Bite’s round, textured version also offers good bite on the ball. Slightly more feel and ball-pocketing, and a great cross string that rivals ALU Rough.

Solinco Tour Bite Soft 1.20 mm
$15
This softer version of Tour Bite is actually quite popular on tour. Similar spin potential as regular TB but has a different hitting sensation and better pocketing.

Solinco Tour Bite 1.05 mm
$13
Thinnest gauge (20!) on the market. A high-powered string for those with more compact swings. Adds power immediately. Also a good syn gut cross alternative.

Solinco Confidential 1.20 & 1.25 mm
$15
A fantastic, low-powered, crisp, five-sided poly for lots of spin. Has a long playability duration as well. My go-to.

Solinco Hyper-G 1.25 mm
$15
Solinco’s flagship string and their most popular by a long shot by pros and competing juniors. This poly has a muted feel that can offer tons of spin and control.

Solinco Hyper-G Soft 1.20 & 1.25mm
$15
Soft, shaped poly with high levels of control, spin, and feel. Another one of my faves. Nothing like OG Hyper-G besides its color.

Solinco Hyper-G Round 1.20 & 1.25 mm
$15
A round poly that’s great for accuracy, touch, and playability duration. Offers a little more power as well than OG HG.

Solinco Hyper-G Rough 1.20 & 1.25mm
$15
An unreleased string from Solinco that’s been on the back burner for years. This slick, textured version of Hyper-G provides power and spin. Plays well in a hybrid setup. See section below!

Solinco Mach-10 1.20 mm
$15
The newest string from Solinco. It has a smooth hitting sensation, offers good spin and pop. It also happens to look fantastic in any frame.

Solinco Tour Bite Round 1.20 mm
$15
Current favorite string! Softer feel on flat shots, but a firmer feel for spin shots. Excellent control and outstanding tension maintenance. Adds a unique feel as a cross. A seriously reliable string.

Solinco Confidential Pink 1.20 & 1.25 mm
$15
AKA “Hot Con”, has the same makeup as OG Confidential, but with the pink dye, provides extra comfort. Still plenty of bite for spin, though. Another string in testing!

Diadem Solstice Power
1.20 & 1.25 mm
$16
Diadem’s flagship string. A hexagram-shaped (Star of David), super sharp poly, for incredible spin potential.

Diadem Solstice Black
1.20 & 1.25 mm
$16
A softer version of Solstice Power with near identical spin, but better tension maintenance.

Gosen AK Pro CX
1.24 & 1.30 mm
$15
Gosen’s answer to Wilson NXT. More comfort, more spin, WAY better durability, AND costs less! Some even dare to compare this string to natural gut. It’s that good! Try it in a hybrid or on its own.

Diadem Evolution (Azure & Pink)
1.30 mm
$12
A soft, comfortable, and spinny string, specifically designed to be a durable cross that can withstand shaped polys.

Gosen OG-Sheep Micro (Black & White)
1.22 & 1.29 mm
$6
Highly-rated, slick, synthetic gut;
Good fullbed for a classic feel or hybriding as a cross with almost any poly.

Signum Pro Thunderstorm 1.24 mm
$12
A ten-sided, twisted poly for spin and control. Plays similar to ALU Power Rough.
Good budget poly. Great if you like purple.

Solinco Confidential /
Solinco Tour Bite Round

If you like full bed Confidential, I’d highly recommend trying this out. It’s like Confidential got a video game upgrade to “Level 2”. Great feel and plays just as well or better than full bed Confidential.

Solinco Mach-10 /
Solinco Hyper-G Round

Solinco’s two newest strings truly complement each other very well. This hybrid is actually planned to be sold as a set later this year. HG Rd firms up the feel and dials-in the control of the stringbed. Spin is plentiful.

Gosen AK Pro CX /
Luxilon ALU Power Rough

This hybrid mimics the setup that Roger Federer used during his career. While he had natural gut mains, AK Pro CX is a great alternative. Power, comfort, spin, and durability, all in one!

Solinco Confidential Pink /
Solinco Tour Bite Round

I really can’t get enough of TB Round. With “Hot Con” mains it’s becomes spinnier and adds a little more power. However, the best part is the unique sensation it creates when hitting big.

Solinco Confidential /
Yonex Poly Tour Pro

Like the above with Tour Bite, this one adds comfort to Confidential without negating spin. I’d recommend this one over the other if you prefer a slightly deader feel. This was my setup for a bit.

Solinco Hyper-G Soft /
Gosen OG Sheep Micro

The perfect hybrid for someone trying out poly string for the first time. I use this for my junior tournament players and my 3.5 clients. Even more advanced players will be surprised how much they enjoy the spin and comfort of this setup.

Solinco Confidential /
Solinco Tour Bite Rough

The Tour Bite Rough in this hybrid really softens up the stringbed and creates good ball-pocketing. Clean strikes feel very satisfying with this combo. Easy on the arm but still lots of spin potential.

Solinco Confidential /
Solinco Hyper-G Rough

The HG Rough crosses in this setup make for extra snapback from the crisp Confidential, allowing for loads of spin. There’s a great blend of bite, feel, and a little more power in this one.

Solinco Tour Bite /
Solinco Hyper-G Round

Very similar to the hybrid with PTP crosses. Just a little firmer. Some of my advanced players prefer this one simply because of that tiny difference.

Solinco Tour Bite /
Yonex Poly Tour Pro

My advanced private lesson clients love this setup. PTP crosses add comfort and spin from its smooth coating, making TB feel great.

Diadem Solstice Power /
Diadem Evolution

The Diadem-recommended hybrid. The soft but durable Evolution adds comfort to the stiffer Solstice mains. Both still provide huge amounts of spin. Solstice Black would work here as well for a softer feel.

Bumper and Grommet replacement: $15

If you have the grommets I will affix them to your racquet.

Overgrips

Solinco
“Green Tape” Prototype

Unreleased from Solinco. Has a great tacky feel but it’s really the durability that’s amazing.
$2 per grip

Diadem
Pro Feel

Sincerely great grip. As good as or better than Wilson Pro or Yonex SuperGrap.
$2 per grip

Tennis Balls

Diadem
Premiere Extra Duty

High-quality balls for hard courts. Made in the same factory as the official Wilson US Open balls.
$4 per can

Creating your own hybrid

Making your own hybrid is actually super easy, and barely an inconvenience.

Below are the most common hybrid setups.

  1. Poly mains / Synthetic Gut crosses: Take your favorite poly and make it play softer by using a synthetic gut for the cross. There’s still plenty of spin potential from the mains, but now a tad more power and comfort from the crosses. You could put a multifilament string in the cross (as most do) but I find that it breaks much too quickly. Using synthetic gut will achieve the same result and it will last longer.

E.g., Yonex Poly Tour Pro/Gosen OG Sheep Micro

  2. Shaped Poly mains / Round (or Rough) Poly crosses: The idea here is that the shaped mains (a string that has 3 or more sides) will glide more easily along the crosses, creating a snapback effect, potentially resulting in more spin. While round and rough strings are both circular, rough strings have some texture to them. They are actually well known for being slick and inherently softer, which is perfect for a cross.

    E.g., Solinco Mach-10/Hyper-G Round; Solinco Confidential/Hyper-G Rough

  3. Same poly, different gauges: This still constitutes a hybrid and is growing in popularity. In the same vein as #2 above, a thicker string in the mains should be able to move more freely when the cross string is thinner. Again, hopefully resulting in more spin via the snapback effect. This also achieves a slight improvement in comfort.

    E.g., Solinco Tour Bite 1.25 mm/Tour Bite 1.20 mm; Solinco Hyper-G 1.20 mm/Hyper-G 1.10 mm

  4. Natural Gut, Multifilament, or durable Synthetic Gut mains / Round (or Rough) Poly crosses: This is the most powerful and comfortable hybrid when compared to any of the above. With a poly cross, this setup will provide additional spin potential. The most popular
A shaped poly can work as well but it might cut into the multifilament and prematurely break it. If using a shaped poly, I’d recommend the mains be thicker to help withstand the edges.

E.g., Gosen AK Pro CX/Tecnifibre Razor Soft; Wilson NXT 1.30 mm/Solinco Hyper-G Soft 1.25 mm
